Reflecting on Holy Week: An Adult Lenten Study

By MATTHEW RICH
The Thoughtful Christian
More Details

Take time to better understand the importance of Holy Week with this six-session study based on the Gospel of Mark’s account of Holy Week. Christian adults will explore the importance of the events during Holy Week. Session themes include Jesus’ entry to the city; his disruption of and teaching in the temple; Jesus and the disciples in Bethany and during their Passover meal; Jesus’ prayer, arrest, and abandonment in Gethsemane; Jesus’ trial; and his crucifixion and burial. A resource sheet with an expanded spiritual practice based on Scripture is included in each session, in addition to discussion questions, prayers, and more.

Each week includes a Participant Handout and a Leader’s Guide that helps a leader facilitate a forty-five minute session.
